Adrian Henri, Brian Patten und Roger McGough waren britische Lyriker, die in den späten 60er Jahren den außergewöhnlich erfolgreichen Band von Penguin Modern Poets 10 unter dem Titel The Mersey Sound veröffentlichten. Es war die erfolgreichste Lyrikanthologie bisher, so sagt man. (Zum Mersey Sound gibt es bald einen Beitrag)

Jedenfalls wurde 1967 eine Band gegründet, von Andy Roberts, Adrian Henri und Roger McGough, die, neben musikalisch sehr guten Einlassungen, viel Lyrik vertonte: The Liverpool Scene. Sie persiflierten die wachsende britische Bluesszene hervorragend.
